Newborn Special Care Associates, PC is a neonatology practice that is a proud partner of Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health in Abington PA serving the families of Montgomery and Bucks Counties.

The Special Care Nursery at Abington Memorial Hospital was founded as a 4-bed unit in 1982 by Dr. Ara S. Moomjian.  He has overseen the steady growth of neonatal services at Abington to what is now a 34-bed Level 3 NICU at the largest delivery hospital in eastern Pennsylvania.  The practice that began with Dr. Moomjian has now grown to be one of the most experienced in the region and includes 8 board certified Neonatologists and 4 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners.

Transport Services & Consultation

Our team is available for telephone consultation and, should it be necessary, urgent neonatal transport from outlying hospitals to our facility at Abington Memorial Hospital.
