Gerard Cleary DO FAAP

Dr. Cleary is board certified in both Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.  He is a graduate of LaSalle University as well as Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He completed both his General Pediatrics and Neonatology training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and the AI Dupont Hospital for Children.  Dr. Cleary is the immediate past Chief of Neonatology, the Chief of Staff, Chief Medical Officer, and Senior Vice President of Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health.

He graduated from the Patient Safety Officer Executive Development Program at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in 2009, and completed a Certificate in Pediatric Bioethics at the Children's Mercy Medical Center in Kansas City, MO in 2014.  Currently, Dr. Cleary is a candidate for the Masters of Healthcare Management at the Harvard University T.H. Chan School of Public Health (anticipated in 2018).  A recipient of multiple teaching and clinical awards, Dr. Cleary's interests are neonatal ethics, risk reduction, and high reliability science.
